After six years as the head technician at Central Radio Appliance, Michael Pisano has struck out on his own venture — opening his own at-home appliance repair business. Blackinton Appliance, will run out of Pisano's city home, will offer in-home repairs to appliances most people don't consider repairing anymore.

Blackinton Appliance will be offering general repair service for stoves, refrigerators, washers, dryers, microwaves — items people should think about fixing,. "If we keep heading toward a recession, people aren't going to be able to replace their appliances."

Pisano said he will offer competitive rates that people can afford. Blackinton Appliance is trying to provide people with the type of service they deserve. They don't need a service with a flat $75 fee for a repairman just to walk through the door and then a hourly rate. Rates will vary by location, but not be as high as competitors.
